27th June 2019 A sharp knock echoed through the silence, jolting Riya awake. Her heart pounded as she shot up, gasping for air. For a moment, she was back in that dimly lit hallway—the shadow stretching toward her, the whisper of her name curling in the air like smoke. But as she blinked, reality settled in. Her bedroom. 19 June 2019 A thick, deep shade of grey clouds loomed overhead. A soft breeze rustled through the trees, cooler than usual, carrying the scent of damp earth. The dry soil darkened as rainwater seeped into its cracks, releasing the unmistakable fragrance of petrichor—the fresh kiss of rain on the earth. Leaves trembled under the downpour, their dusty surfaces washed clean, turning into vibrant shades of green.
